About Me
My name is Peter Wallis and I am a Brisbane based photographer/filmmaker.
I have over 25 years experience in editorial photography working as a senior staff photographer for one of Australia's major newspapers with NewsCorp Australia. Over that time I have covered a vast range of things, people and sporting events. I am also skilled with filmmaking and editing, being able to offer clients high end work using the latest Canon Cinema series cameras.
Over my career I have received multiple awards. Some include Best Metropolitan News Photograph at the Queensland Clarion Awards and a Walkley Awards nomination for Australia's Best News Photograph.
I have vast experience with some of Australia's biggest sporting names and covered many major events under extreme deadlines in the media world. I have toured on assignment as NewsCorp's photographer with the Australian Socceroos and been lucky enough to have been the Courier Mail's photographer in camp for the last decade with the Queensland State of Origin side.
